I am a contemporary artist that utilises new technologies and printmaking to create works that investigate and communicate my identity. Living on a rural property, and being a mother, I am particularly drawn to investigating facets of motherhood, life cycles, decay, and beauty, through found objects and images from my surroundings. I am also interested in appropriating past artworks I find in old, discarded art books, especially works from Sandro Botticelli. I create artwork to stimulate my thoughts and feelings of transcendence- a moving between worlds, whilst foregrounding the abject nature of the female body and its destiny to return to the earth. I have recently completed a Master of Creative Arts through the University of Southern Queensland.
